Presentations and Keynotes

A sought-after keynote speaker, Margarita has been a featured guest on radio programs including NPR. Her contributions have been recognized by the Governor's Crime Prevention Award (Maryland) and the Outstanding American Award.

Coaching and Training for Professionals and Parents

Corporate Coaching. Shrink Rap provides coaching and training for organizational leadership and staff at all levels from small to large corporations. Prevention, crisis, ethical dilemmas, workplace harassment and other forms of violence,  diversity, conflict resolution, customer service, team building, expert facilitation of meetings, public speaking coaching and training are areas of expertise.  Shrink Rap provides these services directly or in partnership with Influens.

Parent Coaching. Parent coaching and training includes raising healthy children across the developmental lifespan. Shrink Rap supports parents and the professionals who deal with parents and children in dealing with  limit setting, time and values management, sexual health, behavioral issues,  moral development, understanding developmental challenges, and helping children succeed at home, in school, and in the community.


Consultation

Shrink  Rap is often called in response to crisis in the workplace. Increasingly, Shrink Rap serves in a preventive role with business leaders, small groups, and large groups. Shrink Rap  helps professionals and team members shine for themselves and for the sake of the organization.
 
In times of crisis or when organizations commit to preventive education, Shrink Rap provides consultation, coaching, and training in ethical practices, workplace harassment, and team building.


Psychotherapy

Dr. Margarita works with children, adults, couples, and families addressing a variety of life's challenges. These include developmental milestone challenges; relationships; communication; limit setting; dealing with loss and trauma; and  preparing for and dealing with transitions. Clinical issues include selective mutism, sleep and dreams,  anxiety, sex and sexuality, depression, and social skills.
